Hi! My name is Mitchel and I’m the Retail Specialist at the Boston Taproom. I’ve been working in restaurants since I was 18 and fortunately enough, I fell into the Craft Beer industry when I got a summer job at Dogfish Head Brewery in 2016. What was supposed to be a summer serving job turned into a career in beer. Since then, I’ve taken the time to learn the ins and outs of the industry and build my appreciation of a true art form.

My favorite memory of the taproom was our National Coming Out Day Fundraiser event. Despite COVID, we were able to create a safe program that benefitted a great cause and it was such a fun-filled day! The staff, the guests, everyone was just enjoying themselves and excited to be there to support Transgender Emergency Fund. Another favorite memory has been building our opening team. The trials and triumphs we went through in those early days forged friendships and bonds that I’ll always appreciate. Looking towards the future of the taproom, I’m excited for us to get our doors open and welcome back our guests. The taproom was only just starting to get off the ground when the pandemic hit; there’s so much potential for what we can accomplish, and I cannot wait to see those dreams realized.

Hi I’m Brian, born and raised in Upper Darby, PA (GO EAGLES!!!!). I spent almost my entire life in the bar business before joining Boston Beer Company. I grew up in a corner bar and restaurant owned by my parents and after college, worked at Outback Steakhouse as an opening manager before moving to Boston in 1998 and working for another “corner bar” at The Bull and Finch Pub AKA Cheers Boston. Before joining the Boston Taproom team, I was the Beverage Manager for Chef Ming Tsai’s award-winning restaurant Blue Dragon. From working at a corner bar, college bar, tourist bar and fine dining, I’ve seen a lot in this business.

My favorite memory at the taproom so far was easily the opening. I have opened over a dozen places in my career and opening a new place is always exciting and ours was no different. Seeing how our staff interacted with our guests and how much fun everyone was having was just a delight. Considering the craziness of 2020, we are still technically a brand new place! I’m excited to see where we fit in the Downtown Boston beer scene and with our leadership and tremendous staff, I know we’ll cement ourselves in the area. Hope to see you soon!

RedSox1Hey, I’m Peter! I’ve been working in the beer industry for 4 years and food service & hospitality before that. My first job was working at my uncle’s hardware store helping stock shelves and now here I am working for Sam Adams!

I’ve definitely had a different experience than the rest of the OG manager crew since I started working for the taproom during quarantine so it’s been a wild ride! I will say one of my favorite memories so far was when we were reopen to the public in limited capacity on the rooftop and getting to meet staff, vibing with the other managers not in front of a computer screen and making guests happy! Of course though, I can’t wait until we are able to open fully again – simple as that. I’ve heard plenty of stories about how busy and fun the environment was and I’m ready to experience that for myself!

Hey all, I’m Wade, the Assistant Brewer at the Boston Taproom. I started in the Craft Beer Industry 6 years ago washing kegs to start. My favorite memory so far is a recent one and it was writing an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) recipe to celebrate my daughter Clementine’s upcoming birth. It’s called “Oh My Darling!” and it’s on tap right now – you should check it out!

One thing’s for sure, I’m looking forward to seeing all the smiling back in the taproom! Getting that immediate feedback on our brews and how much people love them is something I really miss seeing.
