We’re excited to share that our first ever collaboration brew from the Boston Taproom is officially out with our friends from Wormtown Brewery!
Your cousins from Boston brewed with your cousins from Worcester and the connection between our two breweries might be unknown to some. Our Head Brewer, Megan P., worked at Wormtown and helped open the Worcester taproom in 2015 before coming to work for Sam Adams and lead the charge in our Brewery’s Nano before making the move and heading up our brewing operations at the Taproom.
For our 2021 reopening, we wanted to integrate collaborations into the fabric of our existence and highlight that the work we do here is local – we are a local taproom and a local Boston brand. When we were thinking who would be a great partner for this first collab, Megan immediately thought of Ben and her Wormtown colleagues and was excited to get to make a beer with them again – even if it had to be over Zoom. When making this beer, it had to be something that we would all want to drink together, highlights our brewing skills and ultimately cheers with.
This is how “Your Brewer’s Favorite” Rye Lager was born, featuring Danko Rye from local Valley Malt and the Modern German Noble Hops Callista and Ariana. This brew drinks super clean and has a great amount of spice coming from the rye.
While COVID restricted us from having an official on-site brewday together, the brewers lost no time in having a morning beer to chat about the brew together and make sure it was coming out the way they had planned with Megan doing the heavy lifting on-site.
This brew is now available on draft and in custom crowlers to-go for a limited time!
