To celebrate our upcoming reopening for 2021, we’d love to introduce you to some of the friendly faces behind the taproom team. We’ve asked them a few questions for you to get to know them a little better...
Hi, I’m Billy, the General Manager at the Sam Adams Boston Taproom, born & raised in Revere, MA. I was the former GM of both Cheers Beacon Hill & Cheers Faneuil Hall restaurants/bars and spent 24 years in a management role. I saw the Sam Adams Boston Taproom being built from about 50 feet away and I’m grateful to continue working in the Faneuil Hall area and seeing it grow post-COVID.
My favorite memory at the taproom so far was Media Night the night before we opened to the public and having the honor of cutting the ribbon next to Jim Koch as he toasted our grand opening with a Boston Lager at our front door. I’m excited to pick up where we left off pre-COVID and continue to make our taproom one of, if not the top destination in Boston for local and visitors to our great city!
Hey I’m Josh, the Kitchen Manager at the Sam Adams Boston Taproom! I’m a Culinary Institute of America graduate with over 15 years restaurant experience. I’m originally from California but have been in Massachusetts for a few years with family.
My favorite memory at the taproom so far was seeing how big the lines were our first month open and how excited people were to come inside and experience the space. I’m looking forward to the chance to try out new recipes and food & beer pairings to showcase our beer knowledge chops. I’m also excited to welcome local groups for fun events and charity opportunities on-site when COVID passes!
Hey I’m Tanya, the Marketing Manager at the Sam Adams Boston Taproom. I started my career at Boston Beer Company at the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain giving tours and working behind the bar after taking a break from my career in marketing agencies. I love craft beer and the stories you can tell behind the ingredients and why a beer is being brewed and I knew I had to throw myself into the industry.
My favorite memory at the taproom so far has been seeing the look on people’s faces when we first opened and just hearing them say “wow” not only at how large the taproom is but also how beautiful the building is. The cherry on top was having them order a flight that a bartender recommended based on their tastes! Moving post-COVID, I’m excited to get to share our taproom home with more people and give them a chance to try our innovation beers and the creativity we bring in our offerings to the downtown area.
