In collaboration with traditional German brewers, Schneider Weisse, we’ve crafted a special beer for Octoberfest.

The history of Schneider is deeply entwined with the history of brewing wheat beers, dating back to the early 1600’s. Once a beer reserved only for the noble, Duke Maximilian I made it his mission to expand brewing and access to wheat beers. This led to the opening of a brewery in Kelheim, Germany, that the Schneider family took over. The Schneider family, bucking trends, continued brewing wheat beers and kept this legacy alive.

Schneider Weisse continues to uphold this tradition today, which is why we couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with them on a beer for our Boston Octoberfest Celebrations. Our brewers worked with theirs to create a quintessential German wheat beer with an American twist: Beer Garden Festweisse.

True to Schneider’s brewing heritage, Beer Garden Festweisse uses a generous amount of wheat to create a full-bodied yet sessionable beer while the addition of Cascade hops provides a distinctively American citrus aroma. Clocking in at 5.8% ABV, this new weissebeer is naturally carbonated, a typical quality of German beers to keep them easy-drinking.

We’re honored to bring Beer Garden Festweisse to life with our friends. Try it on draft at our celebrations or grab a 4-pack to take home with you. Prost!
