About the Innovation Collaboration Series

The mission behind our innovation collaboration series is two-fold: To highlight the amazing small-batch innovations coming out of the Taproom and highlight other breweries sharing our ethos of innovation as well as doing amazing work within the craft beer community.

We started in 2021 with a theme based on Head Brewer Megan's career path in the brewing world in MA with an asterisk partnership with Rhythm Brewing Co given their rise within the region. For 2022, our theme revolves around highlighting kickass women in beer in the Northeast Corridor with new breweries as well as a repeat collaboration with Rhythm Brewing to continue amplifying important diverse voices in the craft beer industry.

Break Rock Brewing

July 28, 2022 w/ Break Rock Brewing, Quincy, MA

We're proud to collab with our friends at @breakrockbrewing in Quincy, MA that just recently opened their doors with Head Brewer Vilija Bizinkauskas at the helm and taking names down in the South Shore. Longtime friends, V and our Head Brewer, Megan Parisi, couldn't wait to collab and bring back a traditional style of beer in a Lithuanian Farmhouse Ale. LITHUANIAN GODDESS is an ode to V's Lithuanian roots that pays homage to 2 powerful pagan goddesses: the Beer Goddess Ragutiene as well as the Goddess of Grain, Fire and Hearth, Gabjauja.

Fifth Hammer Brewing

March 30, 2022 w/ Fifth Hammer Brewing, Long Island City, NY

Our first Innovation Collaboration brew of 2022 to drop was made with our friends out of Long Island City, NY – @fifthhammerbeer! Smooth Jazz is a Jasmine Tea Pale Ale fermented with honey for a light, refreshing brew that leaves you wanting another sip. This brew is to celebrate Mary Izett (@mylifeoncraft) – the badass co-owner, co-founder and brewer of @fifthhammerbeer. Mary got her start as a homebrewer specializing in fast and alternatively fermented beverages and even wrote a book about it called "Speed Brewing." She's served as the president of the Malted Barley Appreciation Society and the NYC Homebrewers Guild. In 2017, alongside her husband (and professional saxophonist) @chriscuzme, they opened Fifth Hammer in Long Island City, NY.

Cambridge Brewing Company

October 13, 2021 w/ Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge, MA

An American In Pilsen is a decocted Czech-inspired American Pilsner brewed with malted spelt, a mixed Czech pilsner yeast culture and dry hopped with Czech and American hops. This brew is a tribute to our Head Brewer, Megan's, upbringing in the world of craft beer and we wanted to make a special brew with the local brewery that taught her how to be a professional brewer and provided the foundation of mentorship, friendship and collegial support in the Boston Brewing community. CBC is a renowned brewery that, under Will Meyers' leadership, has served as a training ground for many brewers in New England, and Megan had a hand in training several brewers who have gone on to have their own successful careers. Simply put, she is a badass – OUR badass – and we wanted to release this beer with CBC for her and Will's birthdays.

Farthest Star Sake Brewery

July 21, 2021 w/ Farthest Star Sake Brewery, Medfield, MA

Introducing the 3rd Installment in 2021 of our Innovation Collaboration Series: Go-Rin 五輪 (5 Rings), a special collaboration brew made with @fartheststarsake just in time for "The Games." Headed by Todd Bellomy, Farthest Star Sake Brewery started as an homage to his time living in Japan and his love of quality sake. Todd grew to learn ferociously about the craft and work out of well known sake breweries on his yearly trips overseas. He would work his 9-5 by day and making his own sake by night in the States. We're excited for Todd to open his new brewery in Medfield, MA! Go-Rin 五輪 (5 Rings) is a sessionable Belgian Ale using Japanese ingredients of Yuzu and Shichimi spices that drinks like a delicious Saison.

Rhythm Brewing

June 17, 2021 w/ Rhythm Brewing, New Haven, CT

What happens when a professional salsa dancer attends a beer festival and doesn't see herself reflected in the beers being showcased? She is inspired by her grandmothers who loved lagers, takes the time to research and makes her own brewery to help New England find their Rhythm. We teamed up with @ladylager1 herself, Alisa Mercado, of @rhythmbrewingco in New Haven, CT to bring you a twist on a classic lager: Up Tempo, a Sparkling Lager made with South African hops showcased in her flagship brews.

Wormtown Brewing

April 8, 2021 w/ Wormtown Brewery, Worcester, MA

Your cousins from Boston brewed with your cousins from Worcester and are excited to bring you the first ever collab brew from the 60 State Street Taproom! What you might not know is that our Head Brewer, Megan P., worked at @wormtownbrewery and helped open the Worcester taproom in 2015 before coming to work for Sam Adams and lead the charge in creating innovative brews for our newest taproom.

When thinking about what this beer would be, the brewers looked at each other and all said "Let's make a beer WE want to drink." And "Your Brewer's Favorite" Rye Lager was born. Featuring rye malt from local @valleymalt and Callista and Ariana German noble hops, this rye lager has a super clean finish with a great spice coming from the rye.
